Regions

If your company has multiple branches performing tasks in their areas of operation, you can use the regions function, which will automatically assign tasks to the appropriate branch of your company. Routimo will plan routes for each region separately. This functionality will definitely make work easier so that the driver visits points only in his region. By creating a route for a given region, you can be sure that the driver will only move in the area he is assigned.

In the [Regions] tab, you can define a selected area as a region. This allows you to organize routes according to these regions, along with assigning specific areas to the driver. To add a region, select the [Add region] button and fill in the required fields. The added region will be displayed on the list. If you have the Professional package, you can also mark the area of a given region using the map.

Assigning regions to a vehicle is possible from the [Vehicle Database] level and the [Project] level in the [Vehicles] tab. In order for the column with regions to appear in the project, you must select [Yes] in the project card during its editing under [Regions].
You can also assign a region to a vehicle in the [Points Database] register or in a given project in the [Points] tab. If you have the Professional package, you can also mark the region using the map. (description below)

The second way is to mark the region using the map. To do this, select the map icon on the right side of the register and then mark the boundary point on the map below with a left-click. A white dot will appear on it, after moving the mouse a line will be drawn, which will be the boundary line of the region being drawn. After closing the area, i.e. connecting the last dot with the first one in the selected color, the range of the region we have selected will be marked. To save the region we have marked, the accept and reject buttons will appear in the place where the map icon was displayed. After accepting, a message will be displayed stating how many points have been added to the region - according to the number of points added to the Database of points located in this area. In this way, you can also create a new region for an area without any points added yet.

Designating regions using the map is easier because when creating a given region, we do not have to manually define it for a given point - this happens when defining it on the map. It is possible to edit the added region - both the name, color and assigned vehicle. The area of the added region is also editable to a limited extent. Editing the area is performed on the map by dragging the dots - the "boundary points" of the area or by dragging the entire area. Each added region can be deleted using the trash can icon.
