Transport orders
Transport orders, or "pickup and delivery", are tasks in which a shipment is collected from the collection point and then the goods are delivered to the location, i.e. the delivery of goods. A classic example is a courier shipment. The courier receives information that he must collect the package from a store and then deliver it to the customer of that store.
For transport orders we rely on two addresses:
- delivery (customer details, phone number, email address and address)
- collection (customer details, phone number, e-mail address and address)
Transport orders will also work well in the case of transporting people, i.e. picking up from Point A (e.g. home/bus stop) and taking them to Point B (e.g. work/bus stop). To better illustrate the role of transport orders, let's take a bus driver, Mr. Marian, who received a Warsaw-Poznań route. On this section, he has to pick up and drop off 10 people. In his Routimo mobile application, he sees a list of tasks to be performed: Names and surnames of the travelers along with the addresses of both pick-up and delivery. When picking up the first person, he selects "Pick-up: Jan Kowalski. Warsaw, ul. Postępu 3" in the application. If Mr. Jan Kowalski gets on the bus, the Driver - Mr. Marian can select [Completed]. The pickup data is already visible in the Routimo management portal, but only the pickup is completed. The task will be fully completed when the Driver - Mr. Marian takes Mr. Jan Kowalski to the destination and clicks [Completed] in the mobile application.
You can check detailed information about transport orders in the project in the [Transport orders] tab by clicking on the "i" icon next to the given order.

Additionally, each order has the option to set the expected pickup and/or delivery date.
